Hi Adrian,
Thanks for your comment. If you check, you`ll find the whole description of this odd patina in the image posted by the name of: Wine Wagon. It`s a wacky technique, but you may find it interesting and give your own personal touch. Nelson.

Working Together

Hi Nelson,
This is a nice piece of art. To me, it says "working together brings success".I've thought about the concept of heaven and conclude that it is a happening, not a place. Heaven occurs when a human(s) does something good for someone else. You have portrayed it well.

Howdy Frank, Yes you are

Howdy Frank,
Yes you are right! Success being whatever well intended task the ladder guys take up. And I believe you`are right on that heaven concept too, but provided evolution is somehow analogous of higher levels (expiritually speaking), then I thought of giving the ladders an upward direction, understanding ladders are at times employed to step down to deep and darker grounds. Lately,I feel more and more attracted to abstract forms, but does not seem easy to me to let go the figurative or semi type of sculpture. This one I like and enjoyed much making it, nonetheless I feel the concept is too obvious, and want to go higher. Easier said than done, for some it`s easier than for others, one step at a time I guess. Long topic for discussion... Glad you like it Frank. Nelson.

Hi Nelson, this may come

Hi Nelson, this may come through twice. I really like this sculpture a lot. Great concept, motion, and patina. I think it would be really cool on a monumental scale.

Grats!

Hi Jake, Definitely, it

Hi Jake,
Definitely, it would really be a beauty if done big. Gee, cannot imagen forging that big a round stock, but probably with pipe, and it occurs to me that with concrete a more realistic look and smoother turns could be achieved. The steps I`d make with rebar let to rust, and this rust would soon stain the concrete like steel: great idea... ready to make one big! Anybody out there wants the proyect? LOL.
Thanks for input. Nelson.
