Lots of Energy

Hi Nelson,
The patterns are mesmerizing. You got something going with this technique.

Hi Frank, It takes time I

Hi Frank,
It takes time I guess, attaining kinetic patterns that enhance the basic shape or design, be it a leaf, fish, hey birds too! Dismanteling a complete pattern because it makes no sense asthetically or kinetically speaking is a real bumer, but that`s part of the learning process. The trick is to be able to literally draw patterns at will with metal or other media, and not just letting them pop up randomly. Incidentally Frank, I do hope to make a bird,or whatever UFO may come out of my try... glad you like it. nelson.

Mysterious!!

I like this a lot Nelson....the cross patterning of the bars is beautiful. I also like the structure of rods counterbalancing the leaf forms....very, very nice. can't wait to see the finished product. How big is it???? Steelyjan

Hi Jan, This flower bud will

Hi Jan,
This flower bud will be mounted on 3 ft base made of faux rocks. Altogether is 8 ft high. Definetely an indoors piece, made of steel plate and textured using polyester plaster. By the way, this texturing involves a lot of hand sanding, the no-fun-at-all part, but the results are great in regards to highlights one gets using different tones and colors. So again, no pain no gain. This last stage of assembling and trying wild tones is my favorite, till you get what makes you feel allright, and sit back watch it and say it was worth it so much work, or darn it... so much work for that? LOL. As I was telling Jake about his awesome Alumination flower, there seems to be much inspiration coming from flora, your fountain, and others`... nature is the max! Thanks for compliment, and happy that you like it. nelson.
