copper base will be wonderful

lin I injoy making simple and light pcs, besides I dont have faciality to cast bronz or itc. so it is very simple to draw an image of a pc, think about its composition and other compositional elements, and make it by hammering and welding. So it is easy to add one more pc(Copper base)to the final sculpture, but i wanted to have a wooden touch to it. There are always many posiblities to complet a pc of art so you are right to say it will be wonderful as well with copper base.........!

Hi Moti, Nice camel. I see

Hi Moti,
Nice camel. I see those long legs are sort of your trade mark. Have you tried human figures using that concept of long legs too? That may be interesting. Nelson.

Inspiration

Hi Nelson
No yaar(freind in hindi), I work as i like at the time or even inspired by some one. I inspired by Giacometti, Alberto Giacometti, but Ihave my own medium and way of making and composing the pc. I did this camel, elephant and few other animals too, I like this style. I have planed to do some thing like human figues, but now at the time i am working on my garden animal sculpture project, in sheet metal, after completing that i will do this again.

Hi Moti, Simple curiosity,

Hi Moti,
Simple curiosity, do you make sculptures or functional metal work for a living? Whatever you do, I hope you`re far from those war areas so you can concentrate better without the disturbance of bombs... Thanks for teaching us some hindi words, you never know. I think next to the universal language of arts, next of course come languages, a great tool to comunicate with other cultures. Show us your garden project when you`re ready. nelson

Nelson I completed my M.F.A

Nelson
I completed my M.F.A from the UNIVERSITY OF SINDH, at jamshoro, at the bank of river INDUS, in PAKISTAN. I Used to paint landscapes as well as make sculptures Over there. I had to Migrated from there, to jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.
I had not enough funds and contects at the time, so I Joined as an accessory desiner in an art export firm. where while working with the artisans, I learnt about metal, welding, hammering, its possiblities, its atributes. while designing for those companies, handicraft items, complete functional. When I saved some of the amout, I started my own small manufacturing unit(STUDIO IRON,Since march 2006), Now at the time I am working over there. I have little space, and some tools, to work with.
Besides those handicraft Item, i have started my sculptures, completed some of them, and doing marketing.
yes i am too far from those war areas, but if PAKISTAN and INDIA will have war, because of Mumbai atack conflict, we will be very near to border.
As for as languages are concerned my Mother toungue is MARWARI OR RAJASTHANI, I got my education in SINDHI, URDU and in ENGLISH. Actually there is very small difference between HINDI and URDU except script. So I learnt Hindi Script after coming here.

No yaar Moti: Sounds

No yaar Moti:
Sounds interesting to say the least! There are a few places I`d like to see some day. Machu Pichu in Peru, Alaska in the U.S. and India. For some reason those regions near the Himalaya are mysteriously attractive to me. The Tibet, India, China... it`s must be marvelous to discover other cultures in that part of the world. If I ever get to go over that area, for sure I`d love to vist you. Look at this guy Moti, he`s inviting himself just like that ! Feel free to invite yourself over here too, if you ever come around the Caribbean, North of South America. It`s incredible how different latin languages are say from hindi, although they evolved from same sanskrit roots. The main thing here Moti is that wherever we are, we enjoy art, a universal language that all can understand. Nelson.
