ya might notice I have a thing with birds,all mild steel with hot beeswax finish, about 2.5ft tall. I ahad never made any birds in steel before. I think I had been dreaming about making these and decided to try when I got up. the individual birds actually sat around the shop for a long time before I decided they needed a home. Their base I cut off of the top of an older sculpture I no longer cared for and then forge the branches for them to perch on.
