Beautiful wall sconce Matt!

Beautiful wall sconce Matt! I looked at the "original" version of this photo and was very impressed with the blue beak of the bird and the snakes head peaking over the sconce. Nice touch! I also noticed the shade but couldn't quite make out the material. Have you ever considered using mica? Mica is great for curved shapes.

this is just canvas. I like working with it because of the year as a painter but if you have a good source for mica I've been wanting to try it for a while.

Mica is a great material for lighting. Mica can be heated with a paint stripper gun or even ironed to heat it to around 120 degrees faherenheit. Then the mica becomes very maleable. Once the mica cools, it holds its shape. I've dealt with Asheville Schoonmaher Mica Company. They're good to work with. Check them out on the web at:
