Sculpture Gallery ![]() Rescued from the mud in Rosenberg, TX. This is a small water pump manufactured by the A. Y. Mcdonald Mfg. Co. A. Y. Mcdonald was gracious enough to provide some information on this item - it was manufactured in the mid '40s and they were getting calls for parts into the early 70's. The piece is currently on exhibition in the Archway Gallery in Houston. This is another case where art is waiting for me. I've been very fortunate. ![]() sculpture...

in this particular case, more in the discovered art category. I'm putting together a series to be titled 'Industrial' where the visual features of the artifacts of industry can be considered art by themselves. I definitely fluffed up the patina. 8-) It has been displayed with some contrasting items: a bud vase with delicate white flowers; a broken wine glass. In this particular presentation, I'm letting the essence of the machine, the configuration of the castings be the artistic oompah. Glad you approve. Jim |
