Twisted Sisters

Twisted Sisters

one of three pieces. The bases are 11" in diameter. The vertical members are created from short pieces of thick walled pipe. The pipe is cut at a little bit of an angle to the longitudinal axis. The slices of pipe are then stacked on top of one another and welded together giving the vertical member a slight twist. The bases are scraps from a forging operation where the white hot steel is hammered thru forging dies. The smooshed up ends which had taken the hammering are cut off as scrap. I have been lucky enough to receive some of these. The tallest of the pieces is 31" tall, the short one is 16.5" tall.
