I found the vertical piece on a RR track - have no idea what it is or was. It spent a few months in my pile of treasure until I decided it was time to use it some place. Originally I thot of combining a number of pieces of the same size but that particular piece conjured up enough oompah on it's own that anything else of similar size would have detracted. an old tie plate and some ball bearing made the whole thing work...

I'm coming out of a two month slump, been creating a number of works in steel in addition to building a couple of dozen pedestals from hurricane debris ( mainly fence lumber - 2*4s and 4*4s ) . Waste not , want not.

I'm getting some gallery and museum exposure now in Houston - hopefully that will get the work toward finding a following.

I don't always get this kind of sculpture but I really like this one. I have lots of railroad debis and would never think of something this cool!
