Chucky Boy's picture

Jim, You know what it looks

Jim,
You know what it looks like to me, for some reason I can't help but get a visual of Bear claws coming thru my truck Door out of mind. I know I'm twisted on this thought but sometimes I see things in peices others don't.
I do like the peice, what are the vertical peices are they pullers of some kind? 7

Being twisted isn't all bad......

Hi Chucky Boy,

I'm flattered it's caused some paranoia... never crossed my mind.

I have no idea what those things were supposed to be. A machine shop ( one of my benefactors ) gives them to me, I guess they were miscut for whatever they are supposed to be.

It has been fun finding things to do with them. They've been used in 5 works so far. They are good solid piece of steel and the shape lends itself to abstractions.

An keep in mind, even if you're paranoid, there may be some giant steel clawed monster lurking out there.

twisted isn't necessarily a bad thing....

Thx Chuck,

I don't know what those things were supposed to be. A machine shop owner gives 'em to me - I ask him if I could give him some money, his response , "Nah, they're not mine" .

Apparently they were miscut, I've used 'em on about 5 works so far. They are nice solid pieces of steen with a shape that lends itself to creating artful things.

People give me stuff, I find some beauty or message.

This material has been sitting in my back yard for a few months, I had to wait until it got horrible hot to start on something.

Sanity is overrated..

Rising/Sinking

Hi Jim,
I like the chucky/heavy style however by back is complaining. Really looks good many kilo's of solid metal.
Cheers Michael.

58 lbs / 26.3 kg.

Thanx bro,

very few of my works turn out light.. this one is sort of medium weight.

The Warriors series weighs something over 500 lbs, a couple of the individual pieces are over 100 lbs.

The thickness of the material I am fortunate to find helps to enhance the image of massiveness and solidity the works enjoy.
