I like the colors and textures. Are you using nails or hand forming on the figures. The only downside is your work reminds me of airport security but that is another story. Keep up the good work. » reply ![]() Passage

yo Don, the colors and textures are old rust, fresh rust ( I may have acidized this guy , and some mill scale still adhering to the elliptical pieces. When I'm doing my thing, color is not a huge concern to me because ( with a few exceptions ) I really like weathered steel. the figures are created from rail road spikes ( I'm lazy and they make pretty good people). The thought of airport security never crossed my mind, but that's one of the fascinating things about art, is the thoughts provoked are different for every thinker. What I felt significant on this particular work is that the little guy is leading the way thru this portal. » reply |
