Back to work...in full Force

Back to work...in full Force

Well....back in the studio this past weekend. Not only do I have to rebuild the four sections of railings but...I also commited myself to two shows . One is at a real estate office in Milford Pa., the space is difficult as they have a hanging system that cannot support anything too heavy....so I am trying to make some small wall pieces that might work. Here's a picture of the first piece....(not quite finished, have to do some coloration...highlighting) I think its title is "Indulge Me". made from studio scrap.
I also will have a booth at an open air festival in the local town upstate.Arts in the Park: Barryville N.Y.
And I have decided to join a co-operative gallery in Milford, Pa. called "The Artery" . It's a beautiful space with a glass storefront on the main street of a very wealthy town. There's a monthly fee and I will have to sit one day a month....I think it will be a great way to get my sculptures out there.
EEK!!!! There's so much to do....and I still trying to catch up from vacation mode. Janet R.

Another weekend...more work

Hi Everyone,
I've spent some time in the studio this weekend ...and now I'm here alone for the next three days. i should be able to get some major work done???? I hope. Anyway I have built two more pieces similar to this one (a little larger) I really like them.Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera up so you will have to wait for the photos.
I think this series of work will be titled Steel Life...kinda like a still life!
I completed two more small sculptures out of things that have been sitting around.
And I started a small free standing horse ...inspired by Rob! Can't wait to share ....the ideas are flowing....Janet R.
