Another New Piece(in progress)

Another New Piece(in progress)

Here's the other piece I started, alittle different....but it's developing. A gallery by my upstate studio has taken one of my small sculptures and now wants anything else I have. For their Holiday Show, they asked me for a larger scale piece. I"m really happy now. Also I'm meeting with a client today to discuss a new project. Furniture basically, so that's good too. I hope I get some work soon so I don't have to get a job.
EEK!!!! Heaven's forbid. Janet R.

Sculptures are Multipling!!!!

Thanks Rick,
I'm getting back into the swing. I finished this piece and patinaed the inner lining . I really am happy with it.
Remember these pieces are all table top size, but I love making them. I finished another new one , and started another that has a totally different feel to it. Welding little cut offs from industrial waste.....I'll post some pictures soon. Friday we are driving out to Chicago, taking my son to college....I'm excited for him, it's his time to
grow and expand his horizons.
Oh..... I got the commission for two furniture/sculpture..the client is such a wonderful person I will really enjoy it. She's so enthusiastic....it's all good. Thanks everyone...I love talking to you and sharing our work and views and of course knowledge....Janet R.

Great looking piece! Sometimes the smaller stuff I find is way more liberating and rewarding. Also, congrats on the commission- ya gotta love it when the client's enthusiasm gets you fired up for a job. Keep it up and try to put that "real job" stuff out of your head.

Hello there,

My name is Joshua and I'm new to this site, just wanted to say hello to everyone and I'm excited to be a member!! Right now I'm working on "Another Dragon". I'm right in the process of making the frame. I don't have much so I'm working with what I got-just a simple flux core MIG welder and a few other power tools. I find this website very inspirational how everyone is just limited with their imaginations and how big they are. I'm in search of some scrap metal because I have so many ideas that I'd like to work on but all in good time. If anybody has any suggestions or ideas about anything please feel free to contact me dirt_hogs@earthlink.net I'll post some pictures here soon.
