there was a time when I kept winning the lottery ....one after another commission was funded by lottery grants and /or the crafts council .... but as time went on I found the committees drove me up the wall so I started looking for patronage from business. The percent for art aspect of new developments made it easy to find sites and the local involvement of schools was a good carrot. » reply |

bird tree
Hi Giusseppe
This is lovely, I really love the fact that the community got involved. Is there a close up of some of the birds? I definately feel a tip to Slough coming on, are you uk based?
Can I ask, did you get grant funding for this? We have an idea for a copper oak tree, working with a light sculptor to light it up and with the community making the leaves. I did a load of work for it and got overwhelmed by the arts council grant form! Also looked at your website today, I love your figurehead on you longboat skeleton, another idea I have but I see mine all rusty and holey!
Kindest regads
