Sculpture Gallery | Sheet metal This is my first piece working with sheet metal that I started at my local community college. I am going to attach this to a horse body using the same methods. it mostly hammered cold with some hot working around the face. I did it in several pieces and welded them together with an oxy-acetylene torch. Its all 16 guage sheet and using pipe connectors welded to a iron counter weight as a "swage" and a old fork lift fork as my anvil. Thank you, The class I took

Thank you, The class I took for this the teacher recommended 16gua and so I bought several sheets. I didn't know any better at the time but now that I started it with this gauge and have so much I'm stuck with it until I use it up. now that I know better and have tried 18gua I should have started with that. I have started on the horse it might turn out good. » reply sculpture

Wow! Great work, I can't wait to see it finished and on the horse. I have worked 16 ga. cold and with this much shaping you must have built up alot of muscle. Lin
