This is my first anything and its just lots and lots of 1/4" rods bent with the heat from a torch and layed next to eachother and then welded together very simple but very time consuming. Its just one big weld. The bow is just a flat piece of strap about 4" wide cut and bent with? I don't know what its called but its like a scroll bender but a big one.

Excellent

Freddy,
Very nice sculpture, excellent work. I love to melt the rod with a torch too. I have never tried any as large as you did, it must of taken a termendous amount of time. So did you have to run to the welding store a lot to buy more run and get the tanks refilled?

www Metalrecipes -- heat and beat to the desired shape, repeat as necessary.

thanks for the complimant

Yes it took lots of gas and rods and months. It was my first art class and the teacher uses this method and when I started I had no idea what I was in for. But there was no turning back. I won't be doing this again I can tell you. It was expensive to make and took hundreds of hours and I don't think I could sell it at cost if I wanted to.
