getting ready

I've got a crafts show this weekend, and i hope to sell something finally. So I'm doing inventory this week. This morning I made a set of candle holders. They're really funky, so I'll post them here soon. Thanks for the interest Frank, I'll talk to you later.

Creative Pressures

Hi Bill,
I looked at your candle holders. I think pressure sometimes gives our creativity a turbo boost; it did with the candle holders.
Our third annual Arts Festival in Munising is Saturday. I've been making display stands, but I've been making sculptures too. I'm excited.

Cool

That's great! I'd love to see the sculptures and your displays.
Yeah, I'll try to keep the thinking cap on. I feel lucky just to get started on some of these things. I have many projects in mind right now, and a few that have been half finished for months. So I guess there are no promises and no worries..

Good luck on the festival, I think you'll do great.

Bill

Howdy Frank: How`s things by

Howdy Frank:
How`s things by the forest? Leo looks like a friendly guy, and that`s all right for a Lion. Probably trying new stuff, but yet conserving traits like feathery hair, maybe more leaf like. Neat! What about a rusty patina on,the rust color may go well with the lion hair...Nelson.

Forest Fun

Hi Nelson,
The black flies are settling down now, but the Deer flies and Horse flies , No see-ums and of course the misquitoes are all in numbers. It keeps the human population down, so I'm good with it.I did get a nasty spider bite yesterday and my whole hand swelled up, though
Yeah, the Lion was new territory, but I'm pleased with the results. He may be friendly, but you want to be wearing gloves when you touch him. The rust idea would probably work with this sculpture. He has stainless eyes just in case that scenario occurs.
I'm working on a Sandhill Crane out of re-rod right now.
Peace,eh
Frank

Different Twist

Hi Chuck,
Thanks.I was trying to add a human element to this Lion.I really like how Lion sculptures from antiquity had this characteristic. However, friendly rather than ferocious is my twist.
Peace,eh
