Nice Eyes

Dong Gwan Choi,
Another fine little sculpture. You get so much movement out of your pieces. Love the look in the eyes.

I really like this Ox as well. Lots of textures and kind of a picasso feel. How big is it?

Hi Dong Gwan Choi,
I like your Ox very much! I have to agree with Jake on the Picasso feel.

What kind of patina did you use on the Ox? It gives a nice contrast.

Happy New Year!

Hi Dong, Happy new year too!

Hi Dong,
Happy new year too! Many of us agree on the cubist style of your sculpture, and to me regardless of size, this the best of your sculptures so far. Furthermore, your ox is one of the best sculptures I`ve seen on this site. They way you`ve managed to distribute space within the animal figure, altogether with that mix of abstraction and cubism, makes this piece and excellent sculpture congratulations! Nelson.

Dong Gwan Choi,
Hey when reading Nelsons comment I feel as if I came up short of doing an articulate comment of your piece. Nelson keep the comments coming. And Dong keep the great work you have coming. It is great to see people express themselves, just love the way you let it all hang out.

Warren, If you`re referring

Warren,
If you`re referring to me, here he have a Spanish saying that goes something like this: "the donkey blew on the flute and he played it just by chance" LOL. That might have happened here huh, but thanks anyway, and excuse me too when I let all hang out, and don`t sound as good. I have a feeling that this year will be a better one for this community, there are new people joining in with spectacular work, we all should improve our work with all this openness and inspirational vibes, and hopefully we`ll improve not only as artists, but as people, regardless of these hard days for all... nelson.

Sayings

Nelson, you always have some great input. Not sure about the sayings but here in the US we just "do it". And yeah I hope the community will improve with the great showing of exceptional art seen recently. Too bad though that a lot of the old timers from this site have left. Their were some real masters here at one time. But anyhow lets just keep positive.

Well Done Friend

Hi Don Gwan Choi,
Your methods are a bit different with this sculpture. However, I can easily identify your style. It is as if the image of the Ox is a frame from an animation(movie). Well done friend. Happy new year to you and your family.
Peace,
Frank
