Friendly Dragon

Brad, very nice dragon, good texture on the body, and the claws are great. In this pose it looks like he stopped to have a chit chat with you. Like he is saying give me a beer .

How big is he?

Hi Brad, Welcome to our

Hi Brad,
Welcome to our family. Is it sheet formed ? Had I to choose the best three dragon sculptures I`ve seen in my life, yours would definitely be one of them. The size is most convenient, unless otherwise requested, because in my view, when people jump into larger scales, details are managed more as a bulk, and never get the quality you get at these medium and small sizes. His pose, movement, details, on and on, are simply excellent. Congratulations. Very inspiring to me, and keep posting. Nelson.

1200 millimeters

Hi Nelson ,thanks for your warm welcome. Im glad you liked my dragon so much, yes you deducted correctly that it was 1200 mm , The dragons wings are sheet and the rest of the body is forged and welded. The size was deliberate as i made a smaller one a few years ago for a lady in england and i wanted a lager one ,I will check out your work later, im still finding my way about Brad

Brad,
I`m ansioux to make a dragon that comes close to yours. There`s a lot of bats in the area, and since we don`t have screens on the windows, they easily fly inside the house. Curiously, my wife name a small empty room the Bat`s, because it was frequently invaded by bat`s while building the house. I may catch one and have a pair of live wings as templates, LOL. Anyhow, few months back I started making an aligator looking creature. It looks like a hybrid, no wings yet, and I think it`ll be wingless as to keep his gator features. It ain`t finished yet but I`ll post a pic of it so you check it out. Hey, nothing doing with TORCH, but I`ll finish it before getting into a well inspired dragon. His name is INDUSTRIALOSAURIOUS .Ciao. Nelson.

Hi Warren,
don`t mean to high jack nothing, just say hi, and a guess.
Could not be meters, so the options are more likely centimeters or milimeters. 1200 cms would be 12 mts, namely about 37 feet, which I doubt. I`d bet it`s 1.2 meters or about 3.6 ft. Nelson.

The metric system

hi warren , tradesmen in austalia always use millimeters as the standard measuremen.Isee your a dragon maker as well , very nice , funny thing i played with bronze on the back spikes but decided against it, Brad
