SHAMAN

Hi J.Hayse: I was checking out your work and let me tell you that I love INDIAN stuff. It looks like copper? I ask myself if I`ve might have been some native indian some where in a past life, because I get very emotional when I write about or work on some indian design. If you put a white sheet hanging at the back, the pic would look even nicer. To me it looks like a piece full of soul, indian soul man! Simple and great. I love it. I myself have some indian inspired sculptures.Among them: "Chaman" and "Gran Chaman" are some of my favorites.I also made "Indigenismo in America", a sort of a surrealistic approach to reality in regards to native americans, weather they`re from North,Central,or South America, same fate!, with different strokes here and there... I hope to post some pics once I learn to post them. I manage to use the Image Resizer, but don`t know what step I missing. Anyhow, keep it up, I`m a self-thaught too, and self-ever learning... Nelson

SHAMAN

Hi Nelson,
My pieces are actually mostly made from reclaimed farm equipment. The copper you see is reclaimed copper wire laid onto the metal with a carbon arc rod.
Everything with me since I was a child has been tribal inspired, it doesn't matter the continent as long as it's tribal.
Love to see what you do, if you have a link to photobucket or flicker please send it along.
Keep up the art....Kotah
