Pink Copper Flamingo

This was a commissioned project that I did for a client. This was the first bird that I have ever made and I learned a lot of do's and don'ts with this project. The pink color was achieved by using a mixture of different color patinas with dyes and then air brushed on. The flamingo is about 11" tall which made it difficult to work some of the pieces since they were so small. If counting my time on this project I would have went in the hole but I did learn a lot from it and learning is more important than money.

Thanks Frank, I would like to try to make a bigger bird, I believe that it would be much easier but it would take a lot more copper to do it. Maybe I'll try one when I get past the holiday season.

Thanks Warren, I guess my bid was too high because he said that he would get in contact with the homeowner and let me know, but I haven't heard back from him. I tried contacting him but no reply. I guess everyone wants something for nothing.
