Copper-bezeled crystal bud in center of Meta-Organica sculpture...

Close-up view of copper bezel holding large crystal cluster flowering bud in center of the piece. (This photo does not do justice to light refractions of cluster facets visible in real-life, but hey, I'm not really a photographer.) Patina on edges of copper bud meant to match color of sculpture.

Hi Brad, yes, they were in a former life. The color is a hard durable resin paint used for outdoor use. May try other colors but I like matching the copper patina. There is still a lot I want to do with color and heat on copper too. I guess the trick there is getting the color to stay over time, so maybe a clear laquer would help that.
