Boot bug

Sculpture Gallery | functional | steel | welded steel ![]() This is another in a lineage of boot bugs I have made. The purpose is readily apparent to anyone who has worn rubber boots(Lacrosse, Red Ball, etc.) After a long day of working in the mud, the last thing you want to do is to bend over and try and pull those muddy things off of your feet. So this is a redesign of the venerable boot jack. Just step on it's back with one foot, and jam your heel into the antennae, and the boot pulls free easily. I cut the body out of a piece of 4" channel I had at the shop, and you can figure out the rest... ![]() Another piece of useful art!

boot bug
Very clever! It looks like a great piece to sell that doesn't cost too much or take too long to make. Lin
