I restored golden dome for Notre Dame University In 2002. I had to replicate three dimensional leaves and flowers and form any deteriorated metal items on that building. I will post pictures from that project every now and then.
I work with sheet metal every day. I am shop foreman at a local roofing company. We order 4foot by 10foot sheets of stainless, copper, lead coated copper, aluminum, and all types of steel. I measure jobs for fabrication on our computer brake which bends metal according to my programming. But, all that is brainless boring work. The of true art of sheet metal for me comes from embossing copper images on my work bench in my garage. I look forward to displaying my art work and pictures on this web site. I also install copper roofs and enjoy restoring older buildings.
