Janet's studio

Janet's studio

Susan and I had the wonderful opportunity to accept an invitation to see Janet's studio and stay for a wonderful dinner. I have to say that I felt like a first year art student visiting Picasso's studio…
Janet and Walter are both amazing artists (Walter the very creative woodworker). Their house reflects the spectacular creativity of them both in the construction as well as the display of their work. This is Janet and Walter's studio. Much of Janet's wonderful work decorates the walls and is really inspirational for anyone visiting.
Janet and Walter are both also amazing cooks and treated us to a wonderful and extensive dinner. Thanks to both of these very special and wonderful people!

Rob...you are too much!

Rob, Love this studios shot...thanks for all those silly compliments...remember I was taping you so when I am bummed out and feeling like I don't know what I'm doing. I'll just hit the play button and have a laugh. Enjoyed your company, Susan is a great lady and I love when the better half is so supportive and enthusiastic about your work...
To all our buddies out there, get Rob to post the pictures of his latest bed in progress with undulating bittersweet vines incorporated into the design.Phenomenal!!! SteelyJan

Hey Janet

It's quite a studio you have there!!! WOW! Did you had it built? Is it near your house or do you have to travel to it? Wow, what a setup!!!!

WOW! you are so lucky, I would love to meet Janet and see her studio. I bet it was fun to have two such great artists in the same building.
I hope I'm next, Mele

Hi Peter

Actually this was a horse barn not attached to the house.
It was what sold us on a wacky piece of property as the barn was fairly new with concrete floors (perfect for welding).
the entire building is 3600sq. feet and we are using about half for the studio. It's a great space....FYI....I'm in between big commissions so not too cluttered. But I do tend to be a neatnik!!!SteelyJan

Hey Jan

It's really fun I guess to have so much space!!! I tend to be neat too, but when I'm on a project it sometimes looks like world war 3 in my 18'x20' little studio lol!
