Nice picture of a nice

Nice picture of a nice forge. I like the mix of old and "new" technology there - box bellows supplying a bottom-blast forge. I'll bet it works really well, too.

I live in the tropics too - how can you stand to wear a leather apron? Are the Panama highlands high enough to be significantly cooler?

Nice Picture of a nice Forge

Hi,Richard..
Thanks.Where I live is around 4,000Ft.At the Base of Volcan Baru, which is the highest Point in Panama(around 11,000Ft.)
It's kinda like Spring Time, with lots of Rain in April through December. The Forge blows good, too good,it fills my Shop with millions of tiny Sparks. The Charcoal I just started buying,is'nt very good,I think it comes from what they call Mangelar(Swamp) Trees.Tree cutting is Strictly controlled here.I have to find some Blacksmiths(Herreros) and see what their using.I don't think their is any Coal here.I read where the Japanese Bladesmiths prefer Pine?
