f.p screennot as hard as u think

make sure u'r screen has all the bumps and wiggles and what ever out of it first... nice and FLAT. I usually go over it flat on a table first with my hand or hammer. Then placing the screen over your frame start on one side of the frame in the center, not at the corner, and do a 'fast' weld, holding the screen down with an old flat head screw driver. Then work your way out to the corners. Once that side is done, go the opposite side and do the same starting at the center weld using your screw driver to hold down and pull at the same time on the screen...does that make sense... hold off doing the corners until you have repeated the same process with the other two sides. I'm sure having a spot welder would be ideal for this, but i don't have one. Also, I've got a tool that grabs onto the screen and pulls it while i weld, but using a screwdriver in this way works. then after I've finished attaching the screen, i use flat stock to cover the edges of the screen, (welded on) to protect from scratchiness as well as a nice finish... i'm sure there are easier ways of doing this, but this is how i know how.... practice on scrap till you feel comfortable with it... wish i could show u instead, not a very good 'written' explanation... Screen stretch
Wow Paula, that's a nice tree. Tech question, how do you stretch the screen. It's one of the problems I've yet to solve.
