Thanks Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for sharing those images with us.Is there a significance to the gears? Thanks
Frank

Gears

Frank-
The gears are only a comment to the implied industrial feel to the piece. Originally, the gears were going to be a working mechanism, in which all 3 gears would rotate. The rotating gears would in turn be attached to the fins creating more movement into the piece. The gears would be connected by small link chain or as simple as a rubber o-ring.

But time constraints and budget prohibited that approach. But if there was more time, I thought it would create a more inter-active piece.

Soooooooo - no spin!

Thanx Frank,

Paul

Fish

Bob - Thanks for the compliments. I believe the gauge of the stainless is 16 or 18. It is a fairly heavy plate but workable. The piece is almost 6 foot in length and about 26 tall. It is supported from the ceiling by 100lb. test coated fishing line and crimped together at each end...holds really strong!

Thanks for asking - paul

Fish

Jamie - Thanx for the compliments! The piece is about six feet long and made from stainless steel and copper. It was one of 2 fish images, along with a stainless steel wave form, made for a clients home in Charleston, SC. Glad you like the work.

paul
