I used pitch almost25 years ago, now I never use it, I used a steel block with a leather sand bag close by to keep copper in shape, I use line chisels and fianlly with my last annealing do I get the metal push out,the key is use lighte hammers ans thicker maetal. Nice tomatoes!
I'm BRAND NEW to repousse - got my pitch out this weekend, struggled just to get it out of the can! I drew a BLANK trying to come up with some simple drawing - I never thought of a vegetable....maybe I'll try a pumpkin tonight - its got a bit of texture in the stem and sides of the pumpkin yet not too much to make me crazy. Thanks for the inspiration! I'm off to read your blog entry on it...
