Hmmmm...might have seen your spiders about.....Looks like the sort of thing you find on the toilet seat around here.... I did a dozen or so with "Redback Beer" bottles for abdomens. They sold like the proverbial hotcakes, but I got fed up with making them.

Redback Spiders

Peter,
After about number 500 I too got fed up and put them to the side as it was killing the other artist side by doing replete work. I do acknowledge by doing the spiders it lead me to other places and it's all part of the process.

Variety

Hi Michael,
I am totally fascinated with spiders. They do creep me out when I find them crawling on me at night though. I haven't tried to make any metal ones yet, but there is such a variety, it seems you could spend a life time creating replicas and never do all of them. My favorite here in Michigan's U.P.is the Fisherman. It's a Wolf spider that preys on minnows. You have to sneak up on them in a canoe to observe them as they are deathly afraid of humans(smart).
