Pike jaw

It's Pikes jaw. I made 2 piece sandcasting and weltend them together. It's 7%tin and 93%copper. Finished with silver coat.
The jaw were gift to my neighbour who had the fish. it's about 25cm x 25 cm.

it might be just a fish

it might be just a fish story but we must remember that the middle section of the pikes jaw is cartilage so it's flexible. It's hard to say what it were suppose to be wide.

That's very cool, but why didn't you just make it out of copper (without the tin, or the silver coat)?

The reasen for tin is

The reasen for tin is melting point. For silver coat... I welded the pieces together with silver, so i hid the seam.

I don't understand why you covered up the copper with silver. Why must we subscribe to the Olympic standard... gold, silver, bronze/copper? You might have well just painted it, and disguiested it's true nature. Please don't take this personally. I just don't beleive in changing the nature of what is, is...

Painting would be the last

Painting would be the last thing to do. It was my school work. We dont use glue, paint or stuff like that. We leave those to kinderGarden.
