marilyn There is a definite progression. The first one is smaller because of the width of the sheet. I used it because I had it. I bought the metal for the next two and made them one after the other. The one is "daintier." I'm not usually one for embellishment so this was a departure. I've not done anything more with the idea though. If I ever do, I'd like to go bigger. » reply Yea, you did it!

Congratulations on uploading your first image! Now, if we can get you to tell us about it, we could really get the facts. What's the composition of the base/stand material? QuiQue - creating the creators dream » reply Three Vessels

marilyn The bases are a commercial mix for paper machié. It's an Amaco product and has paper pulp. Ok, I looked it up and here is the online discription: Sculptamold SC-3 3 lb bag 41821C Sculptamold® clings to almost all clean surfaces and does not shrink so it can be applied to an armature or any core without fear of cracking. Finished pieces are very lightweight, strong and durable, and may be carved, sanded or shaped with tools. One three-pound bag of Sculptamold® will make 141.75 cubic inches of solid material. Twelve three-pound bags will make one cubic foot of solid material. I mostly roll out a slab and make mask sculptures from my life mask mold so the big bag that I bought has lasted for a long time. No, I don't wear a mask but I do work outside with it and once it's wet, there's nothing to fly around. Qui Que, I know I'm supposed to be able to transfer the picture to here but I don't think is showed up after you so kindly posted the link. marilyn » reply |

ya did it!
Great to see you got into posting the pics. I like the growing levels of refinement between the 3 vessels, the wire gauze looks like tule or something very dainty.
