I know what ya mean i gotta be harsh just like that when i lay the law down. You did well to hold onto this beauty though. Another very lovely piece.

Spectacular!!!

Jay,

Your first one was amazing but this one is spectacular! It looks so sharp at one point, as if it's separated from the
the piece and is jutting out. I'd want this one too! I sympathize with your wife.I don't know if they keep getting better then you will be amassing quite a collection. Congratulations!!!Well done. Janet R.

Hi Jay, I was impressed by

Hi Jay, I was impressed by your simple yet charming twist and shout work. So much that it inspired me to try some twisting myself. I`ve had a hard time `cause I did it with one torch, alone and with square pipe. Talk about doing things the hard way huh! I hope you don`t mind my having put to use the technique . I`d like to try round pipe. I will post a sculpture I finished for a client, using twists not shouting though, but ìt`s been difficult to post, so I`ll try latter. Thanks for inspiration Jay, and keep posting, enjoy your work. Nelson.

twisting without shouting

Thanks to all of you gifted artists. An old farm boy as myself feels humble when talented folks as yourselves like my work. Thank you again. Nelson, if you rig up somthing to strech the piece as you twist, there will be good results with no shouting.

Thanks Jay. I`m a farmer

Thanks Jay. I`m a farmer myself, well an exfarmer, but my desire to plant and care for the plants I have in my big garden now, don`t think will ever die. On the other hand, I`m in love with art too... Your Dad`s words are of wisdom!
Take care. nelson.

I love this piece! It looks

I love this piece! It looks like a fine piece of ceramic work I'd see in a museum...but it's made of metal, which impresses me.

I've shown this piece to several friends that are more interested in telling me how it was done than just enjoying the piece. Not sure I care how it was made so much as just enjoying looking at it.

Well done!

These people don't either.

These people don't either. They're not really into art but are into being critics. I'm sure you know the type, they tend to overly simplify things discounting skill, talent and vision. One I showed your piece to said, "Looks like a simple heat and twist to me."

I'm sure he'd see other nice pieces here and say, "Bent metal, so?" :-(
