Do you think they will like it?

ooohhh,. I am in love!

this peice has a great deal of detail and the curves are the one thing that that attracts me, the color transparent of silver means to me you can not see the inside but the outer exterior makes it own color, like skin on a bright-aura-ed person... did this mean anything, it's hard to talk about something so beautiful!!!

Nice work, Jay! I don't know if "they" will like it, but man, I sure do!

Jay,

Jay,

nice composition, incredible energy.

when I first looked at it I wondered how it was done and then I read the notes. (Good to do that once in while.)

It seems to have started life as a drive shaft/circulation pipe in a paper mill where something caught and the machine did not. (???)

Nice catch on your part. It is difficult to obtain the spontaneity and energy of that much power thrown at a piece of helpless metal in an instant.

As painters dashing broad strokes at a canvas with a loaded brush, we seek to guide chaos at times. Not quite taming the stallion but hanging on for dear life as we nudge it in the direction of our dreams.

finding the mount to ride and presenting it in harness is process.

Did you hand polish all that stainless or electro-polish it?
Those inner curves and cavities would be a nightmare . . .

Sorry for the late reply, pst time ya know. This piece started as normal pipe. I use 7 weed burners and alot of force to make the twist. Cant get it to hot or the stainless will burn and make the polishing impossible.

Gene, I got a piece of sq. tube, 6" .325 wall. Going to try a twisting session on that baby. Should be a interesting shape if I can pull it off.
