Drifter's Logo

Drifter's Logo

I just completed a commission of a logo for Drifter's Ice House. It's made of 1/8" sheet metal, with ground-down weld beads, and is 20" wide. It's propped up with a fashioned kick stand.

Corporate logos have provided me with a good deal of income over the years. Hint: though the customer orders one piece make two. Companies often have retireing employees or need to give a personal present. You'll sell the extra one. Of course the selling price of the second ones is slightly higher than the original. Just let the original buyer know you have made more than one just in case they need it. Nice job. as usual. Brad

Orange County Choppers

Joshua,

Funny thing, motorcycles is what got me into welding in the first place. Riding is my passion, and I wanted to create rolling art. However, I realized that I didn't want to turn this passion into work... I'll leave that to the OCC guys. Inadvertently, I found another passion... Metal Art!

Thanks, J.R.

Smokin Ride

JR,
Nice Job, looks like a lot of grinding. Sounds like everyone in the crowd rode a Bike at one time or another. I made something similiar to years ago on a CNC for a bike Club out of Jackson MI. Anyway really cool peice as usual!
Keep the Rubber side DOWN!
(Yeah, I used to Ride as Well)

I really like this piece. How did you get the effect at the front end of the tank? Did you also grind the edges of the welds? They look so smooth.
I'd like to use this kind of effect in a different application if you don't mind. As soon as I saw this piece I had ideas.

Thanks for the inspiration!
