WOW! Looks great! I like what you did with the letters...I think not being able to get those letters after all, was a gift! Yours suit this piece very well. Congrats, you pulled it off!

Cheers,

Jamie Santellano

Hey man that came out pretty darn good. Lots of work in the piece. Helmet came out great. I like the nozzle too.

Weathervane

Thanks for the compliments, I want to thank everyone for all the help and support that you guys/gals have given me.

This was a tough task and took many, many hours to design and build. I didn't really make any money from it but I gained a lot of knowledge. The customer was really excited to get it and actually gave me $80 more than the price I had told him.
This was made as a garden style weathervane, so it won't be going on the roof.
I later got to thinking that I made a boo boo on this project. I wanted the top piece to spin freely in the wind so I mounted it on a bearing. The thing was balanced perfectly and spun like a top. I now realize that it probably won't stop spinning if the wind is blowing so it is going to act like a windmill instead of a directional indicator. I guess it's too late now because it is off to Rhode Island. I believe that whoever they give it to will still like it even though it won't work the way that it is supposed to.

Thanks again for all the help that the Artmetal people have given me. It's great to have a site to talk to other people that have been in your shoes before to ask for advice. There are so many talented people on here and I wish you all the best of luck in all your projects and I also wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!!

Thanks,
Copperjoe
