Hi Brad,
Thanks! The base is about a 3" diameter and a little over an 1" high. Fits a standard taper. Most of my other ones fit a votive. It has a wire brushed texture, oven patina and waxed to finish.

Hey Glen,
Thanks, I really learned the the process of married metal from my teachers in the past. In most cases I believe its just two different kinds/colors of metal soldered together to create a design. In mine I've taken a sheet of copper and used a disc cutter to to make the circles and used the disc cutter again to make the same size and thickness circles in silver sheet. Fit those silver discs into the copper sheet I made the holes in (should be a a very tight fit, you probably will need to whack them into the holes with a rawhide mallet to get them flush) then I solder those in place. For the line I cut a line straight through the copper sheet. I file/finish the the edges I cut throught the copper. Then solder the two halves of sheet back together with a piece of square silver wire the same thickness as the copper sheet between the copper pieces. After that sand and finish one or both sides of the whole thing til all the excess solder is gone and the design is flush (no gaps or pits left). Finally I domed it in a dapping block and used it as the top design of my hollow-form.

If you don't want to solder. You can also use the method of eutectic bonding. That process is a little more involved.

Ther are alot of ways to use this method to create some cool designs.

I couldn't find any info in my books about it but I did google marraige of metals and found alot of descriptons of the process.
