NUBES EN LA HISTORIA

NUBES EN LA HISTORIA

This a sculpture series I`m doing, and they`re a tribute to the natives, whether they were or are from north, central,or south of this continente. Nubes en la Historia (Clouds in History). All these sculptures are on the abstract and surrealistic side, and depict dramatism, yet an unquestionable reality. The shadow cast on the wall appeared as or more interesting than the sculpture itself...

Forest People

Hi Nelson,
I like these sculptures. The shadow is kewl.I often have trouble with abstract sculptures, but these two hit me right. What I see is what might be revealed when looking at these people, while they are part hidden by their forest environment. What we do not see is often more representative of what is real.

Hi Frank, I`ve realized that

Hi Frank, I`ve realized that abstract sculptures are very difficult to appreciate, specially when there are made of irregular pieces, and every piece although part of the whole thing, each one of them is a detail by itself, and not being able to see well in a picture, they rather get lost in the whole, and so you get a aproximation only.In fact, I have a real size sculpture in that style that everyone who sees it says wow, it`s great. Now if I show you a picture of it, it`s just insignificant! Glad you like what can be seen. nelson.
