200 ton homemade press

home made tools This is a 200 ton hydraulic press that I built. It is made from a cat tractor cylinder that I cut down and an otc 10,000psi pump as well as a vickers 5hp pump for general pressing I have a pendant switch hooked up so I can hide behind a wall if I am doing something I shouldn't. ![]() Have you any photos of the

Have you any photos of the build in progress and how you re-made the cylinder? I missed a very small press 6inch diameter platens that did 150 tons and I know the company does one the same size that does 300 tons, I have no idea how many PSI, something really scary I guess! Pity I missed it! ![]() I'm jealous!! What an

Are you sure about the Tonage? I've never seen that much tonage produced from that small of a Ram Cylinder and single pin Frame. The hydraulic hose you've installed isn't reinforced steel braid.
It's going to move some metal, but man I sure would be careful.
I've been working with Hydraulics for 20 plus years and it still scares the hell out of me!
I think you've done an Awesome Job on this.
