They are very sturdy.....and the seat is fairly large as I got them from some big thrift store chairs.....I asked if they'd let me take just the seats, and they sold them for $15 each...then I just had to staple gun fabric around them. When I'm at home, I cut the seats out of wood with my rotozip, and add foam/fabric. There would probably not be lots of sitting back done on them.....but lots of comfy sitting.....more like a large stool I guess.

I love the Chairs, they've got a neat contempory feel. Great job, nice to see you posting again. I like the Chair on the left the best.
