This pendant is made from forged and fabricated stainless steel ,mig welded (11 pieces). My jeweler friends are quite non-plussed by my affection for, and renderings in stainless steel. Inevitably each in turn has asked, why on earth I would want to make a piece of jewelry in such an intractable, difficult, and tenacious medium?
My answer is always the same...because I can.
I am very hard on jewelry and the original pieces I made as a kid in sterling always got bent or broken in some way. Stainless has an interesting energy signature that I resonate with.
