"20 Infinity"

Here is a ring with more Overlay work. I was commissioned to make this ring for the same person that I made the Fluer De Lis bracelet, but the cool thing is is that she doesn't know she's getting this ring...a twenty year relationship gift from her boyfriend! It was his idea and my design-(xx infinity xx). He's very excited about this! I'm happy for those two lovers!

Cheers to love!

Another great piece

I actually don't usually wear rings but I bought a ring in Croatia done by a woman jeweler in Zagreb. Reminds me a little of this piece. I'll try to photograph it and post it.
Nice work, I'm sure she will love it. janet R.

Hi Jamie: Nice ring. See

Hi Jamie: Nice ring. See you`re into jewlery... I believe a sculptor may have a harder time doing jewlery than a jewler becoming a sculptor. A matter of detail and the scales,it`s all relative though. Did you ever consider doing sculpture? Nelson.

Hello Nelson,

Hello Nelson,

Thanks for the compliment...I actually started out as a sculptor. I've posted a few images...most likely in the archives by now, but yes that's what I was doing first, and then had went through a divorce, which drained the bank account SEVERELY!!!! and so I found myself needing to do something that would create fast cash.

That's when the jewelry venture began. I started out wire wrapping with Sterling wire, and Swarovski Crystal beads. I was selling earrings and bracelets at my station(hairdressing), and making a killing at it, so I kept it up. In 2007 I went back to Ireland to study for 3 weeks with Master Silversmith Brian Clarke for the second year in a row, but this time he had me focused on jewelry instead of sculpture. He said the same thing you did as far as scale being the major difference.

I do miss sculpture, and am itching to do something big, but I keep getting orders that I just can't say no to. It's really great I think things have turned out the way they are supposed to, and who knows I might actually get commissioned to a sculpture after all. Anything can happen, and I'm open to it =D.

Here is a little recognition that I recieved locally where I live for winning 1st place gold medal, and 2nd place silver medal for the peoples choice awards in The Art Classic 16. This was put on by the Santa Clarita Artist's Association. The College Of The Canyons did a story on my achievements. Before I went off to Ireland to study under Brian the first time around I had given a presentation to the Board of Trustees at the College, and another article was published, but this time it was the Daily News of Santa Clarita. The Daily News Santa Clarita Edition: Before I went off to Ireland to study under Brian the first time around I had given a presentation to the Board of Trustees at the College, and another article was published, but this time it was the Daily News of Santa Clarita.

I do have some images of my sculptures on my website...still working on putting that together.
