Hello Jamie

Hello Jamie,

Thanks. I had a look on your website as well. You are very lucky to be able to learn with that irish ? silversmith.
Have been there various times ?

Hello Rene,

Yes I've gone back to see him two years in a role. I hope to see him again sometime in 2009 for more intensive training.

Nice play between the

Nice play between the textured surface and the raised. The frame sets it off nicely and I would guess, reinforces the buckle so it is functional. What gage did you for the chasing?

Hello Marylin

belt bucklebelt buckleHello Marylin, belt buckle consists of three parts. The lower silver sheet (1,3mm), the frame and the ornament(1mm). The ornament first was cut off the second sheet so I got the frame and the ornament and the I soldered seperatly the frame and the ornament. Finally chased and soldered on the back those three parts for the belt (no idea how they are called in english):). There is no raising. Measures are 55x70mm. I do one time an original and then mostly sell the brass/bronce castings.Because of the reduction in the rubber mold I have to make the original a aprox. 5% bigger.
