The piece is beautiful. How were you able to get such small areas of color with heat? Or is the color from a patina? Jake » reply abstract eye question

Yes, Bill, on all of my projects i use tempering as a primary method of adding color to metal. Tempering was a step in the process with this project but not first. I apply layers of texture to all projects to give dimension and depth. The texturizing processes are the result of hand and power tools. On this piece i used both but no hammering. I use a variety of agents to preserve metal. On this piece i used acrylic. jeff Obafemi williams » reply |
