Wow, that's cool! I thought it must be titanium, and am surprised to see that it is nickel. Did you stop off part of the surface, or polish off part of the patina? either way, it is very nicely done.

Oops! I just re-read more carefully. Now I notice that it is marriage of metals: bronze and nickel. Nevertheless, my question remains whether you needed to clean up the nickel after heat coloring the bronze.

Hi Cindy,
The nickel actually remains silver colored through the heat patina process. Only the bronze changes color.
