I really like your engraving

I really like your engraving on this piece. I have a question about what do you use for the color in the piece. I can't seem to keep any color in my engravings. When I buff my piece all of my color comes out of it. I would really like to know your process if you don't mind.

Joe,

It isn't what you use to color it that is important, it is what you use to buff it. If you use a soft buffing wheel it will get into the engraving and buff away the dark color. Use a hard felt wheel to do the buffing after engraving, or just a felt stick and some white diamond and you won't get into the cuts that way.
