I agree, it's very nice.

I agree, it's very nice.  At first, I thought it was engraving.  What are the dimensions of the piece?  The buckle looks like it may be very large, perhaps 100 mm. high?  Do I see paper between the silver and the pitch?

Classic style

Rene,

Very fine work. Is there no metal removal? It would be nice to see the back of the piece when you are done.

finished belt buckle silver 925/gold 24K

belt buckle silver 925/ gold 24Kbelt buckle silver 925/ gold 24KThis is how the belt buckle looked finished. Thanks for the comments.
Already in hands of the client who is from the US.
The size is 90x60mm.The design/size was very influenced by the client though he likes the belt buckles from the south of the US and Mexico.
There is tape between the buckle and the pitch though I finished polishing the buckle before chasing it and to have less cleaning work I just put tape (what painter use) on and stick it. Then I hammer off the pitch as good as I can and finally just take off the tape.
Fred, I read your comment to late to take a picture of the backside.I used 1,2 mm silver. It´s just chased-no metal removal. Looks very similar to engraving work. There are just the outer lines slightly to see on the backside. I could have take them off easily but I thought I just let them......finally it shows that ít´s handmade.

Great piece

Rene,

I am glad to hear that you left the marks on the back. It is a good idea to let folks know that this is a handmade piece and the process should not be hidden. A great job! Your skill shows in this piece.
