"Posedons's Rest"

Art Nouveau Style forged steel bed.
It is an ode to Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea (and earthquakes). There are chambered nautilus shells at the top of the headboard and in the center ,his symbol, the trident. It is configured here as queen size but is easily converted to king. The whole thing bolts together and is VERY STOUT and does not squeak.LOL
The central pattern of vertical bars in both the headboard and foot board were inspired by the remarkable Roman aqueducts, evidence of which is still extent across Europe. Not only their incredible skill but also their invention of concrete allowed the Romans to build some of the longest lasting structures of engineering in the world. Also their breakwaters for many seaports along the Mediterranean still protect and shelter to this very day. I can only feel even though the Romans co-opted the Greek Pantheon and so renamed Poseidon as NEPTUNE,that his reign as Lord of the Oceans continued unabated.
In keeping with the Mediterranean theme I choose the Art Nouveau Style to express my appreciation of the fantasy realm and felt this a fitting platform to inspire and engender the creativity I find in dreams.
