This chair I designed and fabricated for guitar players. It features no arms to obstruct the instrument,the seat is lower to the floor than most chairs allowing the knee of the musician to be higher, obviating the need for a foot platform. The eliptical plates are identical in circumference but formed at a different radius for back and seat. Welded stainless steel. PROTOTYPE. I used it for a month before putting it in the gallery(SOURCE Gallery in Santa Rosa) as I do all of my prototypes. It is exceedingly COMFORTABLE even though made of stainless steel.
I have been visualizing and dreaming this piece for several years. It is incredibly gratifying to finally manifest the dream and have it exceed all my "expectations". I am a great believer and advocate of dreams as a visual tool for design,entertainment and inspiration.
