Thanks Rich. I would have liked penny feet also. I just can't swing that hard right now. I'm going to try and get some Japanese Brown on it tomorrow or Wednesday, I feel pretty beat up right now Rick Sidebottom ![]() I'm really sorry Rick, when

I'm really sorry Rick, when I made that comment about the feet I was completely forgetting your accident and injuries. I'm frankly amazed that you could do as much as you did this soon. Good for you! Keep working at it and it will all come back, but it definitely takes time and care. Just don't overdo it and end up undoing your progress so far. Best of luck with it! No Worries Rich I had to cut back to a 18oz hammer from a 3lb. I can handle a 24oz. for about 5 minutes of intermittent use. I guess I need to start planning for a power hammer. Rick Sidebottom ![]() This is a really nice piece.

This is a really nice piece. I was hoping it wasn't going to stay that color. What are penny feet? Post again after the patina. ![]() Mele Give this web site a

OK now I have it, thanks. I like the penny feet but they are kind of what you would expect to see done. I think the scrolls are more organic. ![]() Hi Rick, Good to see you see

Rick glad to see that you are back at it. I think you did an excellent job and give you credit for going out and getting something done. You know the oak leaves and acorns I almost did a piece a while back like that, and oak trees are a sign of longivity and putting oak leaves and acorns as things gives that sign. www Metalrecipes -- heat and beat to the desired shape, repeat as necessary. ![]() Journey to Health

Nice work on the easel rick. I like the texture on the leaves a lot. What kind of finish were you considering? I'm glad your recovery has gone well enough for you to get back into the shop. Frank is right, being able to beat on something is therapy in itself. Jake Jake Balcom ![]() First, thanks Everyone for

First, thanks Everyone for the kind replies and well wishes. I hope to put a Japanese Brown on it and scotch bright some highlights. If the weather is right and I feel up to it, I'll start on it tomorrow. I got a shot in the back on that nerve today and the last thing one my mind is doing it today. I want to make a few more, one tall one for my Daughters engagement picture. I think if a few galleries see the tall one, I might have a few more to do. :) We are hoping to get a cabin started this spring at the shop and have real running water and a flush toilet!!!!!!!!! 4 miles to the nearest C Store. That a LLLOOONNNGGG way some days. Maybe then I can clean up enough to have a shop meet (and meat on the BBQ) and beat. Rick Sidebottom ![]() Hi Rick, Sure glad to see

Very nice work! I think I would have liked penny feet rather than the scrolls, but I like the overall piece a lot.
