Well, I'm hoping that all the students will reply to their respect photos to share with you more of their experience. Donald has been working with metal on a part time basis for several years. He has an architectural design background and, as you can see from this photo, he has a great design aesthetic. He brought his portfolio to one of our sessions and I was very impressed with his past metalworking projects. I hear he has a great home and metalworking studio. There's nothing to forgive Janet. And you shouldn't feel embarrassed either. You spoke about the simplicity of the tables, and many people who are not familiar with hand forged work would likely agree. Thing is, that if they only knew the work that goes into making all the forms by hand including hot forging, texturing, and forming to a preplanned layout, they would then get an idea of the complexity of getting the metal to take the form which our will desires. The skills we learn are what gives us the ability to create our reality... Thanks for your opinions! » reply |
